Trou Noir

After completing the in Camera series where the gun was placed inside the camera to fire directly into the lens (or film) from within the camera body a final exposure was made firing the bullet directly into the film emulsion from a close range of 6 inches without any camera involved. The direct confrontation of film emulsion and bullet renders a cosmic image where the only particles in focus are the small articles of debris from the gun shot that collide with the film emulsion. The thin white line is where the film polyester has split from the shock of the bullet breaking through the emulsion. This was conducted in total darkness, only the explosive force illuminates the film causing the image.
