Geostationary Flat screen TV
This work was essentially the same concept as geostationary tv apart from the fact that a flat screen tv was used and the supporting framework was now stripped down to the absolute minimum. The work also used a time code on the audio track of the DVD to maintain synchronisation of the screen to the video image so that when the the screen is facing upwards (for instance) then the image will be that of the Arctic region of the north pole and vice versa when the screen starts to face toward the ground (as it is starting to in the image above) then the Antartic region starts to come into view. Commissioned for the Public Library of Gosport, Hampshire 2004 ( later removed due to public dislike of the work) Poppy Pippin is reading in the background.
